Hello, my name is Miss Ashley Claus. I am a graduate of Ashland University and I will have the privilege of being your children's Fourth grade Language Arts teacher. At Walley Middle School our Fourth grade team will work together to ensure your child has a wonderful learning experience as well as enjoys themselves this year. I plan to base my curriculum around giving the students multiple opportunities to explore and expand on literature. WE will read numerous books together as a class, such as, "The Misadventures of Maude March," "Shiloh," and "Edward Tulane." All of these books I choose will introduce your children to a plethora of language development, story topics, and class discussions.
The rules and goals set in my classroom align with "THE 10." In addition, I have a few rules in my classroom that are specific during their time with me in Language Arts.
1. Everyone reads at their own pace: respect that!
2. Support and encourage your classmates: no put downs!
3. Reading is fun! So enjoy it!
